"What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" ~Mary Oliver

I help adults of all ages who feel overwhelmed and tired of chasing perfection. My clients struggle as you do. Despite being ambitious, intelligent, and devoted to their relationships, their insides do not feel calm.

When they first come in, they feel compelled to present an outside image that is more attractive, more accomplished, and happier than the next person. Underneath, they carry the secret that they don’t actually feel that great.

They struggle with staying in the moment, because they’re feeling the pressure of how to keep it all together. They’re tired from working so hard, but they often struggle with sleep due to rumination and worrying.

They avoid reaching out to people, because it might make them look needy or vulnerable. They struggle to act spontaneously or go with their instincts, because they fear they’ll betray some hidden flaw.

Their anxiety gets in the way of the life they want in so many ways. They aren’t the kind of parents, partners, professionals, and friends they want to be. They feel like they’re failing at achieving the actual happiness underneath the shiny exterior. And their confidence in being able to find it is tanking. Before they came to see me, they were scared to admit their hang-ups out loud. They worried that they would sound insecure, petty, or weak. And they were pretty certain that they would be exposed as being deficient in many ways.

Anxiety is alienating and painful.

Like my clients, you deserve to experience the fullness of life, rather than managing the appearance of one.

Showing your genuine self and being accepted for it is not out of your reach.

If you want to have tools for feeling truly comfortable in your own skin, I’d love to help you get there. Call and schedule a 15-minute consultation today. I can help.
